Firearms Safety: We prioritize your safety above all else, teaching you the fundamental principles of safe firearm handling.
Shooting Fundamentals: We will teach you how to build a solid foundation including proper stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, and the art of smooth trigger manipulation to ensure accurate shots.
Skills Development: You will learn and perform drills that will enhance your accuracy and confidence with a weapon. These drills are easy to take with you after the class to practice at your hometown range.

About the Instructor:
Caitlin McLaughlin brings twelve years of comprehensive experience as a firearms instructor. Currently, she serves as a full-time instructor at the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) Academy, where she trains new recruits in firearms proficiency, defensive tactics, and first aid. Caitlin has also held the rank of Sergeant at the FDC where she was an active member of its Special Response Teams.
Her expertise includes working with novice shooters, both certified officers and civilians. Caitlin is our top choice for instructing this Entry Level Handgun Course, demonstrating a strong passion for firearms training and a patient, effective teaching style that instills confidence in even the most apprehensive learners.

A quality handgun, unloaded and securely encased prior to entering the range. (Quality handguns are available to borrow if you need one.)
